Eligibility and Admission Criteria:

  • Proficiency Certificate Level/ Diploma in Nursing Securing at least 50% aggregate in total marks & Registered in Nepal Nursing Council
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Must pass the entrance examination conducted by Medical Education Commission of Nepal

Total  no. of  intake in One Academic Year : 20

The PBNS program aims to prepare professional nurses with specialty either in Medical Surgical and Psychiatric Nursing sectors with the highest possible technical and managerial competency in respective level of health programs including problem identification, planning, implementing, professional development training, health education, evaluation and research. Such graduates can serve in various governmental or non- governmental health agencies, communities, hospitals and academic institutions.

Objectives of the Program

The general objective of the PBNS program is to produce competent graduates with advanced knowledge, positive attitude and practical skills necessary to deliver high quality nursing services needed for the country. After the completion of three year's PBNS program, the graduates will be able to achieve the following specific objectives:

  • Provide advanced knowledge and practical skills in nursing science focusing Primary Health Care.
  • Develop skills in designing, analyzing and evaluating the health programs required by the country.
  • Equip with communication and group organization skills for promoting community participation.
  • Enable to deal with the existing realities and problems that exist in the field of nursing.
  • Develop the leadership capabilities of nursing professionals in the management of nursing services at various levels.
  • Enhance competent skills for providing nursing services at community or at specialty hospitals.
  • Provide knowledge and skill to develop their competency for conducting independent research.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION:

  • Photocopy of Mark-Sheets and Character Certificate of SLC and PCL Nursing
  • Photocopy of Migration and Provisional Certificate of PCL Nursing
  • Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate
  • Six Copies of PP size Photographs
  • Duly filled admission Form
